Meet Josh Le Corre: Strengthening Rossborough’s Private Clients team with expertise and passion

Clients may have noticed some new faces in our Private Clients team recently. Josh Le Corre, Sales and Development Executive, is one of two new team members in Jersey. 

Previously Josh worked in Rossborough’s claims department and was a member of the Private Clients team before moving to a role as a Business Development Manager in the lending sector. We’re delighted that Josh has rejoined the team.

Tell us a little about your career to date and your aspirations for the future.

I joined Rossborough in 2014, working in the claims department and then moving across to the Private Clients team. After four years I switched careers, moving into lending, gaining eight years of experience as a Business Development Manager, before returning to Rossborough three months ago.

After my extended break from the insurance sector, I’m really looking forward to nurturing and rebuilding my in-depth working knowledge of High-Net-Worth Insurance. My aim is to achieve my Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute in the next couple of years specialising in HNW and UHNW insurance. I know with knowledge, the backing and training provided by our wider group, Gallagher, I will be able to progress my career with Rossborough, with the aim of providing great service and professional advice.  That’s one of the key reasons for my return to Rossborough – the commitment the business has made to continuing professional development, training and qualifications – which means great opportunities for team members, but also ensures the team always delivers the best possible advice to clients. 

What does your new role in the Private Clients team entail? 

My role is to concentrate on developing and generating new business in Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man, ensuring my client facing colleagues can focus on delivering exceptional service. I’ll be working closely with introducers, intermediaries and within the wider business communities to identify potential clients that we could assist through our specialist service. I’ll also be travelling plenty between our three office locations as I believe face to face meetings are key when building relationships, and this is something I look forward to.

What do you like most about your job?  

Meeting new clients/introducers. I also love that no two risks or days are the same. I can be dealing with a local property enquiry whilst also searching the market for terms on a second residence in the Caribbean, and perhaps trying to obtain quotes on an exotic fleet of vehicles too.

What advice would you give clients when choosing their broker? 

Whilst everyone is different in the factors they prioritise when selecting their insurance, a broker provides the added comfort and support that a range of tailored options have been explored. Going to a single insurer limits the products available to a client and will not point out the differences in their policy to another from a rival insurer - that’s where a broker comes in.

By approaching a range of insurers suited to the particular risk, a professional and qualified broker can seek the most favourable terms and highlight these to a client. Our dedicated account managers work with our clients to understand any significant endorsements or limitation that may be applied, ensuring they have access to bespoke policies that meet their exact needs.
